Lego Yo' Ego

No your ego is not a waffle, but, as classically imagined, it is an inadequate representation of your true self. It's the part of you that feels offended, or threatened or embarrassed. It might also amuse you to know that any time anyone is talking about your "ego" it is their ego doing the talking. It's everyone's bs. Your ego is your Clark Kent, while you are really Superman. So turn down the volume on this set of silly reactions and set yourself free to be the real you, beyond judgement and pretending.

Peace,

Been Away for Awhile

Sorry about that, but I've been on a great adventure for the past 14 months and it's just about over. Anyway, I faced what is often called "the dark night of the soul" (and avoid that if you can, kids) and emerged even more positive than ever before. Trust me, it is a quantum universe, and none of us can really afford any negativity, and doubt should also set off warning bells. I don't really practice ho'oponopono so much anymore. After 3 years of incessantly performing any modality, you should at least make some dent in your biggest issues. I didn't. In fact, my two biggest issues became worse then ever.

This isn't to say ho'oponopono isn't effective, it has been for many practitioners, it wasn't for me. My results were ultimately scattershot.

Through my current adventure, I've come across some other modalities, that to me seem more directed, and also don't require incessant recitation. Two of them, that I currently use, The Healing Codes, and the Access Consciousness tools are somewhat similar to ho'oponopono because they are cleaning or clearing practices that seek to negate unhelpful memories or energies trapped inside us. You can find out more about each by googling them.

In general, everyone is trying to get you to the same state, whether they call it zero, the zone, the force, the vortex, or whatever. And what all of those things boil down to is feeling good. Cause when you feel good, your vibrations rise, and you really do attract things that delight you.

And you really don't need any modality to get there. Want to know the quickest way to go from feeling bad and attracting bad stuff, to feeling good and attracting good stuff? Skip. You cannot be pissed or angry and skip. You've never seen anyone furiously skipping after someone else.

It's that simple. Also, listening to your favorite music or being with your favorite people really helps.

Never let your outlook get anywhere below hopeful or content. Think of all the things you're grateful for and appreciate. Gratitude and Appreciation are really powerful tools. Use them a lot. Counting the things you're grateful for or love is a great way to go to sleep and good thing to do when you're brushing your teeth in the morning. Always look around for things you love when you're out and about, and you will start seeing more of them.

There's no such thing as a coincidence, there are only synchronicities and you've created them. So, if you start seeing something you really want over and over again, the universe is not taunting you, it's on the way, so keep saying yes. It also shows you that you're in alignment, and when you're there, everything you want is on the way. So keep being appreciative and grateful, and you'll start seeing the signs then getting the stuff.

Also, meditating for 5 to 15 minutes a day is great, and will reveal plenty about what's coming and going. There are a number of meditation videos on youtube. Check them out. You really don't need to be meditating for more than 15 minutes a day. And don't get frustrated if it takes several tries to quiet your mind, or keep falling asleep. Naps are good and you'll get the hang of it.

If you want me to continue this blog, now that I'm back, I will, but I'll probably be changing the name.

Peace, Love and Gratitude,

Phil

Still Cleaning Against the Clock

You can see a bit of a double rainbow here from earlier this year, but I wasn't stupefied by it. It was beautiful. Anyway, as I explained in my last post I am cleaning like crazy to get rid of one program I have been working on for three years. At least, I think it's one program, it could be a network. Anway, last night I had a nightmare about it, and that to me was just another invitation to keep cleaning it. I really hope this works out, I'm throwing every tool I know at the situation.

Testing 1, 2, 3 years

Aloha, everyone and sorry I haven't been posting as much, it's sort of hard to keep up your cleaning practices and maintain the blog without talking about them. Needless to say, there's enough information about cleaning phrases and practrices in both The Easiest Way by Mabel Katz and Zero Limits by Joe Vitale and Dr. Hew Len for you to get going with you own practice of Ho'oponopono. I felt inspired to teach you, but apparently, the simple everyday phrases and items that compose the vast bulk of the tools are somehow "copyrighted." And apparently, the principle of fair use is unknown in some quarters. So I'm sorry about all of that. Please forgive me for being away so long. I have been cleaning as much and as hard as ever.

This month actually marks my 3rd year of cleaning, and though I've seen a lot of small and unexpected miracles, I have been cleaning on only 2 primary issues for the last three years. Well one of them is sort of coming due, and I have no way of knowing how it will turn out. I've been throwing every tool in the book at it, but we'll just have to see how things turn out. There have been some powerfully favorable signs and events lately. But some equally big challenges to clean, as well. I hope, soon, to be able to tell you that three years of cleaning did the job.

There's an odd idea among some practitioners of Ho'oponopono that we don't clean for any other end but to clean. That's really a cop-out, though. We clean to get to Zero, where anything's possible. And we clean to get rid of problems. It is a problem solving technique. Now, it may be correct to detach ourselves from outcomes, but we certainly do clean to solve problems. And problems are just memories or programs that will replay until we clean them. Dr. Hew Len did not work at that hospital for three years with no aims in his cleaning. And by the way, if Dr. Hew Len could do what he did in Hawaii, which has been verified all over the place, in three years, I feel I should be able to clean at least one of my big issues (but smaller than the hospital ward) in three years time. I will let you know! I hope you are all well and and benefitting from what you've learned of Ho'oponopono. I put the White Dove of Peace at the top of this post, because one lives on my block, and I take that as a very good sign. Stay tuned!

Peace!

Details, Details

Here's a detail shot of a US penny. These are not the kind of details that are holding any of us back. When we want something, we often start coming up with all of the details that could possibly prevent us from getting what we want, what about my age? What about the way I look? You know the drill. When I or my friends do this I call it "extenuating" that's the process of coming up with extenuating circumstances to block our ways to the things we want. So what I want to try to do, and I want all of you to try, is next time you want something think of a dozen reasons why instead of why not. Because the why not's sound like part of your order when you focus, and believe me you will get what you focus on. So, anyway, be good to yourself and respect the things you want, think of why and not why not. God bless you.

Peace of I,

Phil

Cause and Effect or Effect and Cause?

Okay, we've talked about cleaning on specific problems before and ways to go about it. But did you ever think that since it's all really going on inside you that your stress is creating the problems that you think are outside you giving you stress? I know it's a little counter intuitive for those of us brought up on cause then effect or stimulus and then reaction models, but I think there's really something to it. So, for right now, I'm just cleaning on stress instead of the things that I had thought were creating that in me. If it make sense to you, too, give it a try. I'll let you know how I progress.

Peace of I!

"Now Where'd The Tools Go?"

Okay, you might notice some posts missing from the blog going forward. Apparently the common every day items and phrases that can be used as cleaning tools in Ho'oponopono, are coyrighted for that purpose. I had no idea that they either were or could be. And I'm sorry that I shared them with the interested. Going forward I will only write about my inspirations and observations of our shared human condition. I hope they are some help to anyone who's come here looking for it.

In Zero Limits, Dr. Hew Len alludes to the fact that no one should teach Ho'oponopono, unless they are inspired to. You tell me. Was I inspired to?

Peace,

Phil

Ho'oponopono and Chuck

I don't know if you've seen NBC's delightful spy show called "Chuck," but if you watch it, you almost immediately see a continuously dramatized metaphor for one of the central truths of ho'oponopono. In ho'oponopono we believe that we have two choices: to live by memories replaying in our subconsciuos and presenting themselves as the same crap over and over in reatlity, or to live by inspiration where the memories have been freed and anything is possible.

Now, on Chuck, Chuck is a sort of geeky underachiever who got kicked out of Stanford, but through the actions of a friend who became a spy, is exposed to a super intelligent program called "The Intersect" that imprints itself on his brain and is able to give him life saving warnings and, now, instructions, when he is calm enough to accept them. What does that sound like? What's more, he can't use it when he is emotional and living by memories.

So, enjoy Chuck on NBC. It's on again in its usual spot, Monday's at 8pm starting tomorrow. But as you're enjoying it remember, we all have an Intersect inside of us, but we call it inspiration and it is far more advanced in its intelligence than Chuck's, because it comes from divinity.
Keep cleaning!

Phil

Happy New Year!

I wish each and every one of you the most wonderful and love-filled new years. Let this finally be the year that we all stop living by memories and starting living by inspirations. Keep cleaning and God bless you!

Merry Christmas, Everyone!

I hope by now, you see a ho'oponopono view of the nativity story and the immaculate conception. I hope, also that you can see one in A Christmas Carol. As we learn from the story, Scrooge was a young man who lost his way, and went from living by Love, to living to and constantly replaying and responding to painful memories. Then, through the invervention of divinity, he is walked through what was, what he started to project and would continue to project if he didn't get back on the side of Love. Thankfully and joyfully, the old meiser apologized, sought and received forgiveness, and was not only able to live by Love again, but his love saved a little boy, and he became the most beloved man in his town.

I hope all of our apologies are met with the same forgiveness, and we all always live from Love.

Merry Christmas, and God Bless You!

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween! As we have our annual spooky fun, let's remember that practicing ho'oponopono gives us the chance to drop our daily masks of memories replaying and reveal our real selves. Happy Haunting and even more gratifying cleaning!

Another Missed Metaphor

Several religious traditions teach, if not formally encode, the idea that we have an angel on one shoulder and a devil on our other shoulder - like Pinto in Animal House - and our choices all depend on who we are listening to. Now, this old idea of the two competing running systems is indeed true and a precept of SITH, but it's going on inside of us, not on our shoulders. We are either at zero frequency and being run by our own divinity, or we are running on repeating memories we picked up from God knows where being projected through our subconscious and creating our troubled reality. Only one can run at once, so you literally are listening to one or the other. So, clean, clean, clean and hang out at zero, we've all run on the memories too long.

Phil

At-ONE-ment

Ho'oponoono is a constant cycle of atonement, transmutation and forgiveness, and what's really perfect about the word atonement, is that it can be broken down as at-one-ment. When we practice Ho'oponopono, we clear out all the crap, and finally exist at one with ourselves, and on the zero frequency where nothing exists between us and our inner divinity, which is the true I or one. Atonement is a really cool word for the process, and a really good everyday practice.

People are Talking

I'm not sure they look like this, but people are certainly talking, sharing and cleaning at Mabel Katz's new http://www.hooponoponoforum.com/ site. Check it out if you're so inclined, people are being very generous with what ho'oponopono has done for them, how they clean and honor each other's cleaning requests. As you know, Mabel Katz is the author of The Easiest Way and host of the Mabel Katz show, clips of which you can watch on youtube by searching for Mabel Katz. Enjoy!

Customer Service

The latest post over at Mabel Katz's new site http://askmabelkatz.com/ho-oponopono-works/hooponopono-being-present.html reminded me to tell you about cleaning while dealing with customer service representatives. First, it's good to keep that attitude of gratitude and loving outlook going all the time, but, I know it's challenging and I know it can be really hard when dealing with customer service reps. Well, I'm here to tell it can be so easy if you just clean. You won't believe how your dealings will be transformed. I've had better results than ever and gotten better deals than ever through my practice of ho'oponopono. So try it out next time you have to deal with a customer service rep. See it as an opportunity to make a friend and then make a great deal.

It's a Solo Job

No, problem solving is not a case for Napoleon Solo, the Man from U.N.C.L.E., in fact, we need no outside help at all. The resolution to any problem you encounter can be reached in privacy through the practice of Self Identity Ho'Oponopono. Remember that whenever you experience a problem with someone else or with life, it's just another opportunity for you to clean it from your subconscious that is projecting it once and for all. Whatever it is, you can get rid of it through this simple process.

A lot of people ask me if it can work on problems with other people. You bet it can. Next time, before you get into it with someone who is doing jumping jacks on your last nerve, try repeating any of the clearing phrases silently in your head. It will either chill the other person out (my experience) or chill you out to the point where your nerves are fresh and you are no longer annoyed.

So, next time, try cleaning before you go off. You'll be amazed.

A Missed Metaphor

Okay, we all know the Superman story: rocketed to earth from the dying planet Krypton, he is taken in and raised by the Kents, who name him Clark. Eventually Clark grows up, gets a job at a newspaper (so he can monitor crime) and falls in love with Lois Lane. His problem is that Lois is in love with Superman. Of course most people read this as Clark wanting her to fall in love with the real him - Clark, when in fact, Lois is in love with the real him, Superman. "Clark" is just all the crappy human programming he picked up after he crash landed. Poor writing has often protrayed Clark as the real person and missed the beautiful truth of Lois's recognition. The metamessage is really that what we are is perfect and that in any other guise we are less than what we really are. So how do we get rid of these false faces and be who we really are? We practice ho'oponopono.

Phil

Uuuuh, Just One More Thing...

There's an important distinction that some people seem to be having some trouble wrapping their heads around. I've even seen an online review of Zero Limits where the reviewer didn't get it, yet was bold enough to publish his misimpressions. And here it is: taking responsibility for everything in your life, is not the same as being at fault for everything in your life.

In Self Identity Ho'oponopono, one of the central precepts is that we take 100% responsibility for everything that appears in our lives. Now, the reviewer believed that that means that ho'oponopono proposes that the War in Iraq is the practioner's fault. But that's not the case, it's not our fault, it is just our responsibility to clean it.

In other words, we are not the "perps," instead we are the ultra-cool cops who are responsible for clearing the cases. The perps are the programs we've picked up from God only knows where, that keep replaying as the problems we perceive. But we can get rid of them. We do this by apologizing for whatever is going on in ourselves that is creating the perception of the problem and then by asking for forgiveness. And that's what Ho'oponopono is about, not fault, but taking responsibility and keeping our sides of the street clean, for the benefit of ourselves and everyone else. We're cool cops working the beat of Love!

So keep using the phrases and drinking the blue solar water!

The More You Complain The Less You Obtain

Ever notice how you just keep getting more of the stuff you complain about and less of the stuff you want? The old saying the squeaky wheel gets the grease is flat out wrong and each of us knows it, the squeaky wheel just gets more to squeak about. The complaint program is an insidious one that we really must free ourselves from or we might literally spend our lives complaining and none of our lives getting what we want. Does that sound like fun? So next time something is bugging you, just love it and make friends with it in your head and that will free you and free whatever it is you were tempted to complain about. And then you'll really be free to welcome the things you truly want into your lives.

Peace of I,

Phil
