Happy Thanksgiving!

Long before I'd heard of Ho'oponopono Thanksgiving was always my favorite holiday. Don't get me wrong, I loved Christmas and all that stuff, but I just like Thanksgiving better and now I think I know why. Saying "thank you" is a powerful cleaning tool and when you mix in the powerful love you have for all those things you're grateful for, you end up at zero or pretty close to it all day as you relax, visit, maybe watch some football and eat. It feels so good and it's the way we are supposed to feel all the time, and do feel all the time when we're at zero. Another great thing about origin of Thanksgiving. Legend has it that it began when the Native Americans and the Pilgrims decided to share the harvest - now there can only be one reason why and one thing we can all learn from this: We are ONE. Have the most joyful Thanksgiving of your life, and keep being thankful all year long!

"The Open Man"

I like sports and am always looking for good metaphors in sports. In basketball, football, soccer and hockey, the ball, or puck, is supposed to go to "the open man." That's a player who is in the clear and not being impeded by any defender. Conversely, the ball or puck should not be passed to anyone who is covered or in anyway impeded. Things come to us when we are clear, and if we're really clear, we can really score. Keep cleaning!

Saved by 0

I can tell by looking at the news that people are worried about the economy. Now we must all realize that our worry is self fulfilling and it's time to get rid of it. If we want to stop our economy from gettting to zero, we've got to get to the zero state first. The way for us to do that is to clean. I think tapping your bills, or the word money, or the word economy with a pencil eraser, while repeating "dewdrop" will do a lot to get you and money squared and clean.

Perhaps you've heard of program trading. Simply put, that happens when computers with preset programs reach a buy or sell number on a certain stock, commodity or market. It is automatic once it's been input. Okay, so don't you feel like you, too carry around some programs that consistently and automatically respond whether they are needed to in a particular moment or not? The best way I know to stop our programs is to clean.

The news tells us that the economy seems to have gone negative. The way for us to experience that differently is to clean.

The Price of the Blame Game

While America's financial future has been clouded by a crisis in the credit markets as well as the financial and mortgage sectors, rather than coming up with a needed bill, Congress people played the blame game yesterday, and the cost could be staggering. Any time we blame instead of taking responsibility we are costing ourselves. Blame is a function of ego and when our egos are in our way we delay our desired results. Worry and blaming are the enemies here, not Wall Street, not banks and not one party or another. So, as we get through this, stay responsible and keep cleaning - don't worry and don't blame. We will get through this.

Michael Phelps Cleans Up!

I was not at all surprised to discover that Michael Phelps cleans. Though I doubt he has ever heard of ho'oponopono, he practices a form of cleaning that encompasses the word "love" a lot and the results have spoken for themselves. Check out how what he repeats in his head when he's racing and some of the other little tricks he uses: http://vault.sportsillustrated.cnn.com/vault/article/magazine/MAG1143980/index.htm It works for him and it can work for you.

Comparisons

We all make comparisons. They are often our shortcuts to figure things out and they can be very helpful. But they can also lead us to misunderstandings and selling things short. Often comparisons reflect unwanted programs that creating inaccurate assesments for us in the present. How many times have we misjudged people or events because we insisted on comparing them to a memory they played no part in? Too many times. So be aware when you're making a comparison that your reference point isn't an unwanted one.

Delays?

Does it ever seem the more you worry about something getting to you, whether it be a check, or a letter, or the delivery of anything in your life, the longer it takes? Well, the energy behind the delays is not the person who owes you whatever it is. It's you. And by that I mean it's me, too. I'm the one that doesn't trust, or have faith in others. And that's something I've got to clean. And you should too, if anything is taking longer than you would like.

Peace of I,
