A Bit of a Miracle?

This is a 1996 Toyota Camry. The exact model of car that ran over my left foot, ankle and lower leg as it turned into me and knocked me down coming out of it's driveway at 9am on June 18th. I was actually repeating the phrases as I waited for this guy to merge into traffic. The pain was pretty severe and my lower leg received long cut up and down my shin. Why is it a bit of a miracle? The area that the car ran over never swelled up, and no part of my foot, ankle or leg was broken. In fact, within 7 days I was able to take my morning walks again. I still have some soreness, but I'm glad I cleaned my cut with blue solar water, and I'm thankful I was cleaning when I was hit, and knew to keep cleaning while it hurt. The people down at the concierge desk in my building, who saw me come in after the accident couldn't believe how soon I was walking.

As for who was driving the car, I got his information at the time of the accident, but was happy to call him two days later and let him know there would be no insurance consequences and no law suit. I was taking 100% responsibility and the good I could do was to let him off the hook, since something, somewhere inside all of us, had let me off the hook.

In God's Image?

Historically we have been assured that we were made in God's image, but over the same time we have persisted in trying to make God in our image. For example, you've heard the expression, "sinners in the hands of an angry God." That sure sounds like one of us and not God who is Love who's got his hands around us just for having unwanted programs. God is perfect and he made us all that way, it is our programs that are not perfect, but with any of the cleaning phrases, God/Love is there restoring his creation to zero, which is perfection.

Competition

A lot of America was spellbound this weekend as Tiger Woods came back against Rocco Mediate to win the US Open at Torrey Pines. So my question is, who or what was Tiger competing against? Rocco Mediate and the other golfers? No chance. The challenging course at Torrey Pines? Not even. He, like all of us, was constantly contending with negative and unwanted programming. He was able to get clear enough to get to zero and be the perfect golfer he is. But those programs were his competition, not Rocco, who was also competing against programs. Ho'oponopono tells us that even Tiger's knee injury was nothing more or less than an unwanted program that needed to be negated. So if you ever find yourself in competition, look within and clean like crazy.

Ho'oponopono and the Secret

The Secret introduced the "law of attraction" to the masses. So how does the law of attraction meld with Ho'oponopono? It's an interesting subject that doesn't really get settled in Zero Limits, primarily because Dr. Hew Len doesn't seem interested in it. He reminds us that God is not our concierge. There was a concierge in the building I used to live in, and he was certainly not God, so this makes sense. Anyway, kidding aside, The Key intimates that Ho'oponopono is one of the clearing techniques one can use to eliminate counter intentions that might be in the way of what we want from the Law of Attraction.

Interestingly enough, it is in Mabel Katz's book, The Easiest Way, which was published in 2004, about two years before The Secret came out, that a clear connection between the Ho'oponopono philosophy and the Law of Attraction can be seen. On pages 59-60 of The Easiest Way, Mabel writes clearly that, "Manifesting which we desire requires much trust and confidence. The universe only needs us to take that first step." To Mabel, we must ask without expectation and just have faith and confidence. That's basically the Secret in a nutshell. And Mabel clearly uses it as part of her practice of Ho'oponopono.

It's not you, it's ME!

George Costanza was right. It's not you, it's me. And the me goes for all of us. Everything we perceive is really inside us. That's why it's utterly useless to blame others or shame others or call others names. It's all really inside us, just where we've always felt everything. It's an unwelcome program, not an unwelcome person or event that's the source of all your pain. So erase, erase, erase!

It's Been One Week...

Okay, it's been 7 days since I've had anything but Blue Solar Water (TM) to drink. While nothing has manifested in my two areas of greatest concern, I have felt a constant sense of peace in my waking hours. I am experiencing this where we experience everything, internally. So things must be getting cleaned. So for a peace you can feel, I'd recommend adding BSW to your diet. I intend to keep it up and keep you posted!

The Cost of Worry

Okay, something to ponder: how much time and how many opportunities have you missed because you were worrying about something. I don't expect anyone to be able to quantify it, but the simple answer is probably LOTS! Now, if you think about it, when you are worrying you are indulging possibly ancient programs from who knows where. They're not you. So use any sign of worry as a cue to start erasing the ho'oponopono way. It's a much better way to spend your time.

Beautiful Reminders

Jewelry designer Suzanne Burns, working with the approval of Dr. Hew Len has designed and created these beautiful pieces that remind us to clean, and I would venture, act as cleaners when worn. The rings and pendants are suitable for any occasion and would make great gifts to those you love and want to introduce to ho'oponopono. These beautiful pieces and more are available at http://www.intentionaltreasures.com/ . Enjoy!

My 24 Hour Challenge

Now, I haven't been able to do this yet, but let's see if I or any of us can go 24 straight hours without naming, blaming or shaming anyone else. Of course if you have a baby during the 24 hour interval, go ahead and name it, but don't call anyone names, either out loud or in your head for the 24 hour period. Let's see if it's possible.

Peace of I,

Phil

UPDATE: I've already failed this. So at 10:50 AM I'm starting over. That's the cool thing, you can start again from the moment after you've given in.

Who's in Charge?

No, not Dr. Hew Len, the living master of Ho'oponpono, but he did write a very insightful piece explaining the form and function that are the basis of Ho'oponopono. The article, http://www.hooponoponotheamericas.org/whos-in-charge-english.htm , and several others are available and should be read to understand Ho'oponopono at the Foundation of I website which is linked to the right, or can be reached through the linked article above. Enjoy the enlightenment.

Crystal Blue Persuasion

Okay, I'm into day 3 of drinking Blue Solar Water (TM) in the great blue glass bottles I got from http://gothooponopono.com/ . No large scale changes have manifested themselves, but it does taste better than tap or bottled water, and that rocks. We'll see what comes of my commitment to BSW.

A Song is Born

So, I've turned the 4 key ho'oponopono phrases into a song that some friends and I will be recording in the next few days. I'm not sure when it will be available to all, but it will at some point in the near future. The hook proved a hit, and I think you'll dig it!
